The Match Cut Excercise

As a part of our practical we had to be able to produce a short clip including a match cut, in that sense we had gotten knowledge of what a match cut was and how we would be able to put it in our final product of our 'Horror' sequence.

By doing this short clip we also had to abide by the 180 Degrees rule as aposed to making eveything look accurate. We also added in a shot reverse shot as a part of our sequence which made the finishing edit look realistic in a sense of acuaracy.

In my opinion i think that our finish clip was successful in a sense that, what we had planned on paper was what we actually done. for instance in the beginning when i opened the door, we had to cut a bit of the bit when the door opens so it equals to the door opening from the front, infact if we had not edited the clip the way we had done so, it would not have been in proportion. In that sense it all went good for us.
Another thing that went good for us was the over the shoulder shot when Annabelle was talking to me. i think that fitted in very well for us because it made it look much more realler when she passed me the papers.

I think that we all met the requirments of what the teachers wanted to do, because by watching the sequence, we wernt able to see anything wrong with the editing.
